Parties and After Parties

How to draw a party?

I begin with the lively atmosphere of a party in my mind, expressing it with gestures both inherited and instinctual. As the party transitions to an after-party, the events and lights shift into the realm of the subconscious, and that’s how I capture them in my paintings.

No darkness would ever settle upon those parties.

I am fascinated by buildings, their surfaces, and their lights. I started drawing party atmospheres, those noisy events full of people that need books to explain.

I try to bring this chaos into my drawing, conveying disorder and uncertainty with my lines.
